Arrival

What Time is Check-In Available?

Check-in is available from 4:00 PM onwards. This allows ample time on the day of arrival to enjoy a short hike/bike ride or to explore the city of Lienz.

Fond of Express Check-In?

We certainly are. The usual hotel check-in is bypassed thanks to a code for the key box sent in advance, allowing our guests to access their booked apartment immediately upon arrival. Everything is simple and straightforward, communicated via SMS or email.

Where Can I Park My Car?

One vehicle per booked apartment can be parked for free in our private courtyard. We request all our guests to pre-register an additional parking space at the time of booking. We will check for availability.

How Long Does the Taxi Ride from Lienz Main Station to the Holiday Apartment Take?

Depending on traffic, you can expect about a 10-minute taxi ride.

Can I Drop Off My Luggage Before Check-In?

We would love to be available 24 hours for our guests and watch over your valuables. However, our young children would not appreciate our constant absence. Therefore, lockers or a separate room with locking facilities are not available.

What Time is Check-Out?

Our regular check-out time is daily at 10:00 AM.

Fond of Express Check-Out?

We certainly are. When leaving the apartment, all you have to do is drop the key into the designated key box. We'll send you the instructions in advance.

What Should I Keep in Mind on Departure Day?

On the day of departure, there are a few important things to remember:

  • Check-out Time: Please vacate the apartment promptly by no later than 10:00 AM. (Even though we know how cozy our box-spring beds are)
  • Close Windows: Make sure all windows are closed.
  • Food and Beverages: Take all your food and beverages with you to ensure nothing is left behind.
  • Dishwasher: Place the used dishes in the dishwasher.
  • Turn off Lights: Turn off all lights to save energy.
  • Lock the Door: Properly lock the apartment door and put the key back in the key box.

Where Can I Book?

As simple as that.

The best way to book is directly through our website to take advantage of our best price guarantee. Typically, all our guests should receive a response within one working day. You are welcome to contact us by email at info@fil-home.at.

What Are the Payment Terms?

Our apartments can only be booked with a written confirmation and a 100% deposit.
The deposit is due within 7 days prior to arrival. If the payment deadline is not met, your booking will be cancelled.

We request a fee-free transfer for the recipient to the following bank account:

Our Cancellation Policy

In case things turn out differently ...

In the event of a cancellation, the following conditions apply:

  • Free of charge up to 30 days before arrival.
  • 70% of the booking value if canceled from 30 to 7 days before arrival.
  • 90% of the booking value for cancellations within the last week before arrival.
  • 100% of the booking value for late arrivals, early departures, or no-shows.

If you have booked through a booking platform (e.g., Booking.com), the cancellation conditions of the respective platform apply.

A cancellation must be made in writing and confirmed by us.

We charge a one-time processing fee of EUR 25 for each cancellation.

Experience has taught us that, despite all the excitement for a holiday, unexpected things can always come up. To save you the hassle and cancellation costs, we recommend taking out travel insurance. This can be included directly at the time of booking.

If arrival is not possible due to an official travel warning or a lockdown, we will of course not charge any costs.

Is a Final Cleaning Fee Extra?

Our holiday apartments are cleaned at the end of your stay (final cleaning), and this is included in the price. If desired, we can also offer an additional cleaning service (our "Smart Cleaning") for an extra charge, provided it is requested in advance.

For stays longer than one week, an additional cleaning service is included in the price. This is our bonus for long-term bookings.

Is Travel Insurance Possible?

We recommend taking out travel insurance with Europäische Reiseversicherung. You can include it directly when making a booking.

What Does Best Price Guarantee Mean?

We promise that our guests can always book the cheapest rates through our website. If you unexpectedly find a better rate for the same apartment, at the same time, with the same payment and cancellation conditions, contact us within 48 hours of your confirmed booking and we will offer you the same terms.

Are the Apartments Suitable for Children?

Yes, of course, why not? We have children ourselves and advocate for a holiday with children, not from them. We believe that with a good household insurance policy, a worry-free vacation with little ones is possible. However, it's important to note that the apartments are equipped with ONE box-spring bed.

Are Children Included in the Room Price?

Generally, our prices are for 2 adults per apartment per night. Additional charges apply for extra little guests in the apartment.

Please let us know in advance if there will be more than 2 adults staying in an apartment.

Is Smoking Allowed in the Apartments?

Without being a spoilsport, our apartments are 100% smoke-free.

Is There a Hairdryer in All Apartments?

Certainly, even we can't afford 'Bad Hair Days'.

Are Pets Allowed?

Although we love pets, our apartments are pet-free. The exception to this rule is assistance dogs.

What is the Voltage in the Apartments?

Our apartments are equipped with 220V outlets. Please consider this when using your own electrical devices.

Is There Internet Access?

Yes, we offer free Wi-Fi access in all our apartments. However, we would also like to point out that it can be a great opportunity to take a digital break now and then. Disconnect to reconnect.

How is Waste Separation Handled?

We place great importance on sustainability and the protection of our environment. Therefore, we ask our guests to separate their waste properly. Plastic, residual waste, and paper can be disposed of in the designated waste bins at the house. Thank you for your support!

Do Guests Receive Discounts in East Tyrol?

We understand that a vacation can be quite an expense. That's why we've created great opportunities for our guests to explore East Tyrol while benefiting from fantastic discounts.

Guest Card: From the first day of your stay in our apartments, you will receive a guest card. This card not only makes exploring East Tyrol easier but also more affordable. Thanks to the complimentary guest card, you can use all public transportation in the region for free. This means you can travel conveniently and eco-friendly, whether alone or with your family. Here is an overview of the valid lines.

This card is a true treasure map for your holiday experiences. It grants you access to nearly 30 different excursion destinations, all combined in a handy card format. The best part? Can I Store My Bicycle and Skis Dry and Securely?

You can park or store your bicycle or skis dryly in the Ski & Bike Depot located in the basement of the apartment building.

Can I Rent a Bike or Ski Equipment?

We don't have sports equipment in stock for you, but you are welcome to rent e-bikes or mountain bikes in the summer, and ski equipment in the winter from businesses in East Tyrol for a fee. (Useful links: Ski Rental in East Tyrol and Bike Rental in East Tyrol).

 

Do the Apartments Offer Barrier-Free Access?

While we would love to offer barrier-free apartments, due to the construction year of our residential building in 1919, it is not possible to install an elevator shaft or specific room sizes. Therefore, all apartments are only accessible via stairs.

Trust Bar with a Curfew?

No way! Open all hours, just for you.

We have set up a well-equipped trust bar for our guests in our entrance area, available day and night. You can take what you like and put the money in the designated 'Trust Cash Box'. Following the motto 'Honesty is the best policy', we give our dear guests our full trust.

What Can We Do Together for Environmental Protection?

We always strive to contribute to environmental protection and would like to invite you to do your part during your stay with us.

Here are a few simple tips on how we can jointly do something good for our planet:

  • Turn off lights when not needed: Just make sure all lights and devices are off before leaving the apartment. This way, we save energy together!
  • Easy waste separation: We have provided separate containers for paper, glass, plastic, and organic waste. This makes sorting easy and supports recycling.
  • Save water without compromise: Be mindful of your water usage while showering and brushing your teeth.
  • Leave the car behind: Explore the area using public transport, bicycle, or on foot.

What Should I Pack for My Hiking Holiday?

To ensure you're well-prepared for your hiking holiday, we've put together a packing list for you:

  • Hiking Boots: A good and comfortable pair of hiking boots is essential to protect your feet and ensure you can walk stably and safely.
  • Hiking Clothing: Pack light but warm and breathable clothing to protect against weather conditions. A rain jacket and pants are also recommended, as the weather in the mountains can change quickly.
  • Backpack: A good backpack that is comfortable to carry and has enough space for your gear and food.
  • Food and Water: Pack enough water and snacks to sustain you during the hike.
  • First Aid: A small first aid kit can be very useful in case of injury.
  • Maps and Navigation: A map of the area and a compass or GPS device can help you orient yourself and find your way.
  • Sun and Insect Protection: Don't forget to protect yourself from sunburn and insect bites.
  • Other Equipment: Depending on the season and weather conditions, it may be wise to bring gloves, a hat, headlamp, etc.

And of course, if you want to carry a small bottle of hiking schnapps in your backpack to enjoy a sip at the summit, then you're just like us. ;)

What Should I Pack for My Winter Holiday?

Damit du für deinen Winterurlaub bestens vorbereitet bist, haben wir dir eine Packliste zusammengestellt.

  • Ski Equipment: Skis, snowboard, poles, ski boots, helmet, and everything else you need for an unforgettable day on the slopes.
  • Winter Clothing: Remember to stay warm and dry. Pack a waterproof jacket and pants, gloves, a hat, a scarf, and thermal underwear.
  • Apres-Ski Clothing: For cozy hours after skiing, we recommend comfortable and warm clothing.
  • Sun and Snow Protection: Protect your eyes with sunglasses or ski goggles, use sunscreen, and don't forget lip balm.
  • Food and Drink: Your energy source on the go. Remember to bring a water bottle, snacks, and a lunch pack.
  • First Aid: For minor emergencies, have some basic medicines and bandaging materials with you.
